Am Ende des Sommers 2009 wird ein neues Projekt von après-nous aufleuchten: highlight. Eine Installation, aus den ephemeren Stoffen des Filmes gewebt, setzt eines der letzten vergessenen Brachen im Prenzlauer Berg erstmals in Szene. Die Grundstücke in der Saarbrücker Straße 31/32 säumen ein ehemaliges Militärgelände inmitten Berlins. Im Blockinneren befindet sich ein funktionierender Schießstand, der durch die umgebenen Garagen- und Kleingewerbebauten bewusst der Wahrnehmung entzogen wurde. Fragmente der Einfriedung, Fahnenmasten und Reste von Straßenlaternen verweisen auf die vergangene Zeit. après-nous beginnt nun eine neue Erzählung: gleich einer filmischen Sequenz wird der Raum inszeniert. Schlaglicht markiert (2) das leere Land und lädt ein, das Set zu betreten und damit selbst zum Akteur zu werden. Die Gäste bilden die Glanzpunkte (1) des Abends, denn sie bespielen den Raum - das highlight bietet die Bühne: Paradiesvögel der Nacht und wilde Tiere willkommen!

In the late summer of 2009 a new project by après-nous will flash up: highlight. An installa-tion, woven from the ephemeral material of film, that will debut the last remaining waste lands in Prenzlauer Berg. The lots along Saarbrücker Straße 31/32 are lined along a former military area in the centre of Berlin. At the interior of the block there is a shooting stand that could be used to this day and which is deliberately concealed from view by the surrounding garages and other buildings hosting small businesses. Fragments of defence, flagpoles and remains of street lanterns make reference of the time past. après-nous begins a new narrative (2): the space is staged as if it was a film sequence. Highlights (1) emphasizing (3) the empty land invite people to enter the set and become players themselves. These guests constitute the highlight of the night for it is they who animate the space – the highlight is the stage: rare birds of the night and wild animals welcome!
